Obituary of William Cavey

William ?Bill? Ernest Cavey, 67, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital. Born January 20, 1942, he was a son of the late Ernest E. and Edith Marks Cavey. Bill was a retired driver for Ortec. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Brushy Mountain Hunt Club. Bill is survive by two sisters, Darlene C. Feyerherd and her husband Hank of Evington and Shirley Dority and her husband Dick of Marion, VA; two brothers, Ernest E. Cavey, Jr. and his wife Rosa K of Madison Heights and Andrew Cavey of Baltimore, MD.; numerous nieces, nephews and several very close and special friends. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Virginia Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Weidley and Rev. Shane Branham officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Lynchburg American Legion ?Post 16. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
