Obituary of Russell Streeper

Russell Francis Streeper Russell Francis Streeper, 62, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, June 17, 2010 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Carter Feagans Streeper for 33 years. Born April 17, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA he was a son of the late Walter Earl Streeper, Sr. and Nina Francis Streeper. Russell was a member of Rustburg Presbyterian Church and was the Convocation Broadcasting Senior Engineer at Liberty University. He enjoyed Ham radio, water sports and most of all his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Meredith Marie Streeper of Virginia Beach, Lindsay Carter Streeper and Monica Kaye Streeper both of Alexandria and Carmen Streeper Owen and husband Byron of Vinton. A celebration of Russell?s life and faith will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Cumbie Cemetery in Rustburg. The family will receive friends today, Saturday, from 7-8:30 PM at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel, 434-385-8900.
