I was saddened to hear of your loss. I worked with Russ at Grayson for several years and he was always a joy to be around and a pleasure to work with. I know he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. My thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to be with you all.

EMrs. Streeper and family.I am so sorry to hear about Russ,What a loss. He was always very kind to me. We spent a week together on a trip to Wright Patterson AFB around 1984. We were doing a story on graduates from LU and their accomplishments. On the way back he let me use his portable Ham radio to phone patch a call to relatives. I have many special memories of Russ and his big laugh and kindness. He was a special friend.May God give you peace and comfort at this time.

From the very beginning of my association with Liberty University Broadcasting, Russ Streeper offered me his expertise and friendship. His quiet professionalism made you work harder to achieve when you were around him. I truly believe Russ made me a better engineer when he was around. One of the things I will miss most is his laugh..Russ' face could light up a room when he would laugh. I will do my best to honor what he taught me in his quiet way. Thank you, Russ.

My memories of Russ go back to when he started work at WLVA in the late 60s - early 70s, and our late-night snacks at the LGH cafeteria. Didn't see him very often after he left WLVA, but will always remember him as a good personal and professional friend. I hope Carter and "the girls" can find some consolation in knowing that he has well-earned his Peace in the Valley, and we'll all be with him again in that better place.

Russ was a great friend and co-worker who was a true professional in every way. I remember our long talks about our girls and enjoyed many hours just sitting together and laughing at stories of our families and our vacations. One memory I will always remember is our work trip to Atlantic City and New York. From visiting the casinos in Atlantic City to shooting footage in front of Madison Square Garden...it was a special time that I will never forget. I am a better man for knowing Russ Streeper...

I had the pleasure of working with Russ back in the days when our offices were in the bottom of the Donald Duck Bottling building. His gentle spirit and passion for his work were inspirational. R.I.P.

Russ was a "gentle giant" and a prince of a guy; he was a competent, experienced employee with talent and impeccable integrity, but Russ was also a great friend. He was soft spoken, sensitive and always compassionate and willing to lend a helping hand. I can't imagine how we will fill his position here at Liberty, but his legacy will live on. I will really miss Russ. His Christian testimony was exemplified by how he lived his life and how he treated others.Phil 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. ?5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. ?6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ?7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ?8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ?9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
