Obituary of Joyce Wright

Joyce Grubbs Wright, 76, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Elton Flournoy Wright. Born September 14, 1931 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Frank Edward and Clara Brown Grubbs. Joyce was a former employee of Garlin Inc. and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister Helen G. Hicks and brother, Milton Grubbs. Joyce is survived by her son Larry M. Wright and wife Shirley; grandson, Jason M. Wright and wife Teresa; great grandchildren, Donovan M. Wright and Sarah E. Wright; her sister, Dolores G. Neighbors all of Lynchburg and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at the mausoleum chapel in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan Manley officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel and at other times will be at the home of son Larry.
