Clara L. Cheatham Foster Page Clara L. Cheatham Foster Page, 89, of Hampstead, NC and formerly of Lynchburg died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington, NC. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell H. Cheatham, who was killed in WW II, Randolph Foster and James W. Page. Born July 27, 1920 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Alton Major and Lenna Webber Langford. Clara was a faithful member of Fairview United Methodist and attended First United Methodist Church in Snead?s Ferry, NC. She had many friends in Lynchburg as well as Snead?s Ferry. She was a bookkeeper for Lynchburg Battery and Ignition, Kerry Steel and Bikes Unlimited. In addition to her husbands and parents she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Morris, Perry and Herbert Langford. Clara is survived by her son, Donald H. Cheatham of Hampstead; a granddaughter, Nicole Cheatham and husband Kevin, a grandson, Russ Cheatham; two great grandsons Brendon and Keegan all of NC; two step daughters, Shelia P. Miear of Rustburg and Brenda P. Crowder of Gum Springs; a stepson, J.W. Page of Forest; six step grandchildren; four nieces and a nephew and her sister Ruby L. Miear of Lynchburg. A funeral service will be held Friday 11:00 am at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Craig Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 at the funeral home.
