Frank Wilson Scott Frank Wilson Scott, 85, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Barbara Rush Scott. Born December 16, 1923 in Lynchburg he was a son of the late Grover Craddock and Gertrude Banton Scott. Frank was a US Army Air Corps WW II Veteran having served in the 10th Mountain Division and the Pacific Theater as a top gunner on a B-24 Bomber and was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was retired from G. C. Scott and Sons and was an employee of Diuguid Funeral Service. He was an active member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church. Frank is survived by his four children, Susan S. Barker and husband Bob of Mt. Holly, NC, Gary W. Scott and wife Janet of Roanoke, John Richard Scott of Lynchburg and William Craddock Scott and wife Stephanie of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Tricia and Brian Barker, Jay Scott and Sean Scott and his very dear friend Doris Daniels of Lynchburg. A celebration of Frank?s life and faith will be held Saturday 11:00 am in Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Corey Ingold officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 16. Those wishing to make memorial contributions please consider The Salvation Army.
