Obituary of Deria Lovern

Deria May Lovern Deria May Lovern of Forest, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at 8:10 pm in her home. She was the wife of the late Sylvester Lee Lovern. Mrs. Lovern was born September 3, 1910 in Forest, the daughter of the late Murry Chalmers May and Rosa Payne May. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia L. Weeks and husband Wayne and Norma L. Durham all of Forest; two grandchildren, Staria Mitchell and husband Doug of Forest and Gregory Durham and wife Shiho of Lynchburg; three great grandchildren, Kelly Glenn and husband Charles of Lynchburg, Rodney W. Weeks, Jr. of Forest and Amanda Williamson of Palm Springs, FL and one sister, Ann Hanel of Forest. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald L. Lovern and Gerald L. Lovern; two grandsons, James L. ?Vern? Williamson and Rodney W. Weeks, Sr.; six sisters and three brothers. A funeral service will be conducted Monday 1:00 PM at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with the Rev. Tom Thomas and the Rev. Bill Evans officiating. Interment will follow Virginia Memorial Park.
