Obituary of Pearl Adams

Pearl Clements Adams Pearl Clements Adams, 103, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 8, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Howard Nelson Adams. Born June 24, 1906 in Halifax County she was a daughter of the late Luther Algie and Ella Pearl Roher Clements. She was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and was an active member of Lynchburg Rebekah Home Lodge # 41 and LAPM Auxiliaries, Madison Heights Lodge # 16 and Roanoke Lodge # 11 and served as President of the Rebekah Virginia Assembly. She was a nurse having worked at Lynchburg General Hospital and retired as Assistant Administrator of the Oddfellows Home. In addition to her husband, parents and siblings she was preceded in death by her son Joe Adams. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held Sunday 4:00 pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel on Timberlake Road with the Rev. Becky Cloud and Pastor Dwayne Tyree officiating. Interment will be held Monday at 11:00 am in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 3-4:00 pm.
