Obituary of Diane Adams

Diane Wilkinson Adams, 66, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital after an extended illness. She was the wife of Rhea M. Adams of 45 years. Born July 22, 1943, in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late John ?Jack? and Ruth Shea Wilkinson. Diane was a graduate of Morton Plant Hospital- School of Nursing in Clearwater, FL and later worked side-by-side with her husband, Rhea, with their Early Bird Bingo Supply Company. She was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children; Audra A. Foster and her husband, John, of Lynchburg, Keith W. Adams and his wife, Wanda, of Rustburg and Alisa R. Adams of Lynchburg; two brothers, Joseph Wilkinson and his wife Carol of Waterbury , CT and Gerald Wilkinson and his wife Barbara of Westminster, VT; seven grandchildren, Timothy Shively, Tommy Adams, Tamaralyn Adams, Katlynn Foster, J. Aaron Foster, Cameron Childers and Colbe Childers; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother John Wilkinson and his wife Shylia A graveside service will be held Monday, October 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in White?s United Methodist Church Cemetery (English Tavern Rd. ) with Father Kenneth Rush and Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends MOnday at the residence ( 1066 Doulton Circle ) from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to Meals on Wheels, 605 Clay Street, Lynchburg, Va., 24505.
