Obituary of Jocelyn Foster

Jocelyn ?Joyce? Dillon Foster Jocelyn Dillon Foster, 81, of Roanoke went home to be with our Lord Sunday, December 20, 2009. She was the wife of the late Franklin Devruex Foster. Born June 21, 1928 in Suhring, WV she was a daughter of the late Frank James and Thelma Ray Dillon. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank James Dillon, II. She is survived by her sister Meranda Ray Foster; daughters, Constance Hale of Vinton, Andrea Mason and husband Zack of Lynchburg, Sandra Shank and husband Boyd of Salem and Katherine Bishop and husband Jim of Roanoke; sons Mark Hobson of Roanoke and Shannon Lacy of Salem; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Our mother and friend will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever. A celebration of Joyce?s life and faith will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Lakeside Baptist Church with Pastor Art Hearne and Pastor Mack Almond officiating. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Connie Bailey and the staff and volunteers of Hospice of the Hills of Lynchburg for their love and care. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Hills, 3300 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, Va 24503. Diuguid Waterlick Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
