Obituary of William Fritzinger

WILLIAM CARL FRITZINGER William Carl Fritzinger, 81, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at his residence. Born in Allentown, PA. he was a son of the late Walter and Verna Fritzinger and was the husband of Sherrill Ann Covey Fritzinger. Mr. Fritzinger was retired from the U. S. Air force after serving his country for 28 years at which time he served in the Korean Conflict and two tours in Viet Nam. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, The American Legion Post 16 and the Moose Lodge. In addition to his wife, Mr. Fritzinger is survived by five children, Wanda McCann and her husband, A.C. of Orlando, Fl., Loraine Dillion of Lynchburg, Robert Fritzinger and his wife, Tammy of Southbury, Conn. Allen Fritzinger of Bristol, Conn. and Charmaine Johnson and her husband, Steve of Webb City, Missouri. A step son, Joe DeMato, Jr. of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Ruth Fritzinger and a son, Steven Demato. A Celebration of William?s Life and Faith will be conducted 10:30 AM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Falwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM to 10:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or The Hospice of the Hills.
