Obituary of Caroline McPeters

Caroline Louise McPeters, 16, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her home. Born February 8, 1994, she was the daughter of Melissa Proffitt Wilson and Jon McPeters and her loving step-father Dr. John Wilson. Caroline was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Lynchburg. She was a sophomore at New Vista School. Caroline had a love for life, her family, friends, horses and a good laugh . Her spirit and smile brought joy to all who knew her. She had a special passion for her horses and trained daily at Northwind Stables where she had a very special friend and trainer, Brittany Parcell. Caroline was very goal oriented and had planned to follow in her brother , Steven?s, footsteps and attend James Madison University, where she would study nursing to become a neo-natal intensive care nurse. Caroline was a treasure to her family and friends, a joy in their hearts and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by two sisters, Carter Elizabeth and Riley Anne of Lynchburg and one brother Eric Milton of Eureka, CA; her maternal grandparents, E. Wayne and Elizabeth Proffitt of Lynchburg ; her paternal grandparents, Rondell and Catherine McPeters of Altavista; paternal step-grandparents, George and Wilhelmenia Wilson of Inverness, FL. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Steven. A celebration of Caroline?s life and faith will be held Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Mark Beck officiating. The family will receive friends with a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
