Obituary of Dorothy Collins

Dorothy Adeline Collins, 99, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of Audra Fowler Collins. Born January 28, 1911, in Grafton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Hayden Hollen and Jenny Fraley Hollen. She was a homemaker and member of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Collins is survived by two sons, Richard Hollen Collins of Lynchburg and Dannie Joe Collins and his wife of Goode, VA.; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by an infant son, David Michael Collins; one brother, Earl Hollen Collins and two sisters, Marian C. Bolyard and Geraldine C. Harriman. A celebration of Mrs. Collin?s life and faith will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Burial will be in Terra Alta Cemetery in Terra Alta West Virginia at a later date.
