Obituary of Julianne Lincoln

Julianne Whiten Lincoln, 75, of 211 McWane Cir., Lynchburg, Va. died Sunday, March 14, 2010 peacefully at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of Virginia Davis Lincoln and Harry Lincoln. She was the granddaughter of the late Martha King Davis and Howard Hawley Davis. She was born in Danbury, CT. , moving to Farmington, MA. For her high school years where she participated in many sports. Her love for animals, especially horses and dogs, established her life long adoration of annual home local fairs particularly when the Canadian Mounties performed. She attended Kents Hill School in preparation to attend the Verper George Art School in Boston, MA. She graduated from Farmington State Teacher College and taught elementary education for two years. Her amazing artwork and memorial photographs will be shared with those who loved her at the funeral. Julie provided long years as a caring and dedicated professional Child Care Worker at the Miller Home for Girls and the Presbyterian Home & Family Services of Lynchburg, VA. until her retirement in 1999. She is survived by her sister, Martha D. Lincoln of Beverly, MA. and her godson, Harrison S. Hancock of Lynchburg, Va. along with many devoted friends in the central Virginia area especially Mr. and Mrs. D. Bruce Weaver. A funeral is to be held at The Kirk, 1517 Thomas Jefferson Rd., Forest, Va. at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 23rd. Miss Lincoln was a founding member of the Kirk.
