Obituary of Zillian Poplin

Zillian Hinson Poplin, 82, of Rustburg passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Born in Stanley County, NC on September 27, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Oscar Clyde Hinson and Nettie Louise Whitley Hinson and was the loving wife of William Claude Poplin. Mrs. Poplin was a member of Mead United Methodist Church and was a retired teacher at Timberlake Christian School. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca P. Baudaillier and her husband, Jean of Forest. Two granddaughters, Tracy Hawkins Graff and her husband, Jeff and Teagan Renee Hawkins and her fiancé, Curt Brooks. Four great grandchildren, Sarah, Mark, Andrew and Pierson. A Celebration of the Zillian?s Life and Faith will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 19, 2010 at Mead Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Turner and the Rev. James Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM tonight, Thursday at the funeral home.
