Obituary of Theodore Lewis

Theodore ? Ted ? Mays Lewis, 81, of Lynchburg, passed away, Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ellen Lewis. Born December 10, 1928 in Brookneal, Virginia , he was the son of the late Walter John and Virginia Mays Lewis. Ted was retired from SunTrust Bank after 40 years of service. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Ellen, he is survived by one son, Walter John Lewis, III of Lynchburg and one daughter Robin Lewis Murray and her husband, Charles, of Arvada, CO ; two grandchildren, Addison Blair McMann of San Francisco, CA and Landis Burke McMann of Arvada, CO. Ted is also survived by his very special and caring niece, Betty Toler and a dear friend and extended family member , Jane Leggett. A mass of the resurrection will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with Monsignor Kenneth Rush as celebrant. The family will receive friends immediately after the service with a reception at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. in Wycliffe Cemetery, Brookneal, Virginia.
