Obituary of Reva Reid

Reva Crawley Reid, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2010 at Virginia Baptist Hospital after an extended illness. She was the widow of Carroll Joseph Reid. Born February 23, 1917, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Early and Minnie Harris Crawley. She was a retired CNA from Centra Health and previously worked at Lynchburg Hosiery Mill and Westover Pharmacy. She was a member of Euclid Christian Church and in later life attended the former Perkins Park Christian Church. Mrs. Reid is survived by one daughter, Jane Clough, and her husband ,William ; one son, Phillip Carroll Reid and his wife Mary Beth; one sister, Becky Rowland , all of Lynchburg ; three grandchildren, Patrick Joseph Clough, and his wife, Alexandra , Jonathan Davis Clough and hid wife, Roxanna , Amy Reid Gordon and her husband, Michael and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Reid. A celebration of Reva?s life and faith will be held Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Jack Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends, tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home . Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
