Obituary of Iris Heptinstall

Iris Arthur Heptinstall Iris Arthur Heptinstall, 70, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Virginia Baptist Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Julian Calvin Heptinstall, Sr. Born January 29, 1940 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late John Whitfield and Susie Howell Arthur. She was a 1958 graduate of Brookville High School and was a retired employee of G. E. Ericsson with 37 years of service. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Beulah Baptist Church and Mentow Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Julian Calvin ?J. C.? Heptinstall, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Suzette Renee Heptinstall and special friend Douglas Maund of Baltimore, MD; grandson, Blake R. Heptinstall of Lynchburg; a brother, Carlyle Arthur and wife Hope of Warren, RI; two sisters, Bettie A. Overstreet of Bedford and Frances A. Little and husband Tony of Lynchburg and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Iris? life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. John Boyles and the Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank The Summit, Hospice and the Skilled Care Unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital for their care and support.
