Obituary of William Shouse

William Thomas ?Bill? Shouse William Thomas Shouse, 61, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at his home. Born May 11, 1949 in Lynchburg he was a son of the late Dr. Samuel Straughan Shouse and Helen Bigony Shouse. Bill was a graduate of Old Dominion University earning a bachelor?s degree in education. He was a member of the Lynchburg art community, and served in the Virginia National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Post 16, Lynchburg Moose South Lodge and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Bill is survived by his brother, Samuel S. Shouse, Jr. of Costa Rica, three sisters, Virginia S. Holloran of Thompson, Ga., Linda S. Nagel and husband, John C. of Rockingham, N.C., Helen M. Putnam of Augusta, Ga., and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bill?s life and faith will be held Saturday, May 29, 12:00 noon at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with the Reverend Floyd Addison officiating.
