Obituary of Arlene Coleman

Arlene Hartless Coleman, 92,of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the widow of Ralph Ellis Coleman, Sr. Born January 16, 1918, in Buena Vista, VA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Carl and Nora Ogden Hartless. She was a retired nurse at Lynchburg General Hospital and a charter member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Ralph Ellis Coleman, Jr. and his wife Hazel of California; Miles?Steve? Stephen Coleman and his wife, Gloria, of Lynchburg; William ?Bill? Ogden Coleman and his wife Sharon of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Shannon Coleman Sullivan and her husband Sean, Chad E. Coleman and his wife Amy, Andra E. Coleman, Shelly N. Coleman, Amanda ?Katie? Coleman Bradley and her husband Brian , Montgomery ?Monty? S. Coleman and his wife Angela, and Angelia Michelle Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren and Katie?s mother, Pam Croft of Bedford. A celebration of Arlene?s life and faith will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from7-8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
