Obituary of Lucas Bosiger

Lucas DuVal Bosiger, 20, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 8, 2010, as the result of an automobile accident. Born December 26, 1989, in Lynchburg, he was a son of Randall Ray and Tammy Baisden Bosiger. Lucas was employed with Hardee?s of Bedford and a graduate from Brookville High School where he took the 2008 tennis championship to district level, something the school had not accomplished for many years.He graduated from Campbell County Vo-Tech in Criminal Justice and also attended CVCC majoring in Criminal Justice and Business. He was a very active member of Timberlake United Methodist Church where he participated in the Church College Youth Group and multiple missions trips to the Katrina Disaster area , Cherokee missions, West Virginia missions and the Appalachian Service Project. He also served with the Lynchburg District Worship Team and Park View Community Missions. Lucas was also a former member of the Lyn-Dan Heights Vol. Fire Department. In addition to his parents, Randy and Tammy, he is survived by one brother, Joseph ?Joe? Leslie Baisden ,and his wife, Chirlene , of Lynchburg; his paternal grandmother, Helen Bosiger, of Lynchburg; three nephews, Jason, Joseph and Dagon and numerous uncles and aunts. Lucas is also survived by his fiancée, Morgan Wade, to whom he was scheduled to be married next Saturday. He is also survived by his closest and best friends, Joey, Shane, John and Logan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thurman and Effie Baisden and paternal grandfather, DuVal Bosiger. Memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake United Methodist Church- Youth Missions, 21649 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502. A celebration of Lucas?s life and faith will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 12 Noon at Timberlake United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Colwell and Rev. Larry Davies officiating. The family will receive friends tonight at the church from 7-8:30 P.M. After cremation, his remains will be placed in the church columbrium. Diuguid Funeral Service-Waterlick Chapel (237-2722 ) is serving he family.
