Obituary of Mary Rogers Thompson

Mary Bird Rogers Thompson, 89 of Lynchburg, Va. passed away Friday, July 2. 2010 at Horizon Bay Assisted Living in Concord, North Carolina. She was a long time resident of Lynchburg, Va. She was the widow of William Colbert Thompson and daughter of the late James Walter Rogers and Beulah Moore Rogers Frayser of Lynchburg. Mary Bird retired from Burris Land and Lumber Company. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Judith Thompson Rabineau and husband Stan of Concord, NC, two sons, William Colbert Thompson and wife Doris of Grayson, Ga. and James Walter Thompson of Lynchburg, Va. Two granddaughters, Chelsea Lynn Thompson of Lynchburg and Cameron Thompson Judd and husband Stephen of Lynchburg, one great grandson Aiden Colbert Judd of Lynchburg and a brother, James T. Rogers and wife Mary of Lynchburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday,July 6, 2010 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
