Obituary of Etta Wells

Etta Miller Wells, 62, of Evington, passed away, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of James A. Wells for 44 years. Born April 6, 1948 in Bedford County, she is the daughter of Louise Roach Miller and the late Paul Nathan Miller. Etta was retired from the Colonial Restaurant and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by one son, Jamie Arthur Wells, Jr. (Tiffany) of Gladys; one daughter, Tina Wells of Evington; two brothers, Dennis Darrell Miller (Shirley) of Altavista, Danny Wayne Miller (Wanda) of Gladys; two sisters, Julie Mae Anderson (Curtis) of Evington and Kathy Sue Swecker (Mark) of Rustburg; four grandchildren, Brittany ?Nikki? Harmon, Terry Keith Harmon, Nathan Gray Wells and Kayla Mae Wells; one great-grandchild, Jillian Blair Harmon and a very special friend and co-worker, Jeannie East. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Altavista Memorial Park. Diuguid Funeral Service-Waterlick Chapel ( 237-2722 ) is serving the family.
