Obituary of Daniel Staples

Daniel ?Zeke? Gerald Staples 61 passed away August 20, 2010 at his residence. Born June 5, 1949, he was a son of the late Gerald Daniel Staples and Helen Douglas Ayers Staples. He was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church. Daniel loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Daniel loved all of his pets especially Lucky and Buster. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Staples and one daughter, Kristie Staples Adkins. He is survived by his fiancé, Elsie H. Elder of Rustburg; son, Kenneth W. Staples and wife, Elizabeth, of Rustburg; one daughter, Amy Childress and husband, Calvin; seven grandchildren; one brother, John H. Staples and wife Joy C. of Rustburg; one sister, Linda Staples of Rustburg; three nephews, Joseph ?Ray Ray? Staples, Phillip Staples both of Rustburg, Douglas Staples of Lynchburg; a special friend, Eddie ?Buck? Hudson. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, August 23, 2010 at 9:00AM in the Scott and Staples Family Cemetery on Lynbrook Rd. with Pastor Andrew P. Grose officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Diuguid Funeral Service- Waterlick Chapel, 237-2722, is serving the family.
