Obituary of Sallie Farris

Sallie Cheatwood Farris, 88 of Lynchburg, passed away, Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clarence C. Farris. Born September 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Lottie Mosby Cheatwood. She was a homemaker and member of Forest Road United Methodist Church. She is survived by her brother, William H. Cheatwood of Lynchburg ; one sister, Mary Doss of Florida and her very close and caring neighbors and the children she babysat many years, Carson and Erin Crowder; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Harry C. ?Pete? Cheatwood and three sisters, Harriette Lecky, Lillian Daniel and Dorothy Couch. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Steven Willis officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
