Obituary of Ron Owens

Ron Keith Owens, 58, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Betty Jean Owens for 32 years. Born August 28, 1952, he was a son of Lula Dales Owens and the late Leonard Owens. He was a machinist with WEXCO and served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepson, Zachary Puckette; one daughter Brenda Callahan , both of Lynchburg; three brothers, Ted Owens of MA, Nelson Owens and John Owens , both of Evington. ; three sisters, Wanda Little and her husband , Geenie, of Evington, Betty Marshall of Madison Heights and Eva Cox of Evington; one grandchild, Galen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Pastor Jeffrey Wilder officiating. A visitation and reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Keith?s request was not to have an obituary in the newpaper.
