Obituary of Gladys Gallion

Gladys Powell Gallion, 82, of Richmond and formerly Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Richmond. She was the wife of the late John Archer Gallion. Born February 12, 1928, in Victoria, VA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Clifton and Minnie Elmore Powell. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Barr and her husband, Lewis, of Glen Allen, VA, and Susan Myrick and her husband, George, of Lynchburg; one son Gary Gallion and his wife, Judy, of Evington; six grandchildren, Lucas and Sam Barr, Gregory and Amanda Myrick, Jennifer and John Gallion. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dot Thomas, Edna Fugett and Inez Detweiler, three brothers, Cliff Powell, Harry Powell and Spence Powell. A graveside service will be held today, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating.
