Obituary of Jeanette Dalton

Jeanette Whitten Dalton, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Emmitt Dalton. Born January 17, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Walter Harrison and Jessie Newman Whitten. She was retired from the JC Penney Company and was a member of Timberlake Christian Church. She is survived by her three daughters, Sue D. Cirelli of Roanoke, Janet D. Butler of Forest, Dara D. Rapp and her husband, Tony, of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Lisa Pardue (Van), Rhonda Waller (Lee), Tracey Jamerson (Jeffrey), Kevin Butler (Stacy), James Tedesco (Nickki); five great- grandchildren, Brandon Nowlan, Amy Yerigan, Christopher Jamerson, Benjamin Nowlan, Ryan Jamerson and Marc Tedesco; two great-great grandchildren, Donavan and Cameron Williams. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jim Butler, and her grandson, Brian Michael Butler. A celebration of Jeanette?s life and faith will be conducted Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Timberlake Christian Church with the Rev. Bob Mooty officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6-8 PM, at the church. Interment will follow in Terrace View Church Cemetery.
