Obituary of Christina Banton

Christina Martin Banton, 46, of Concord, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at Duke University Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness. She was the loving wife of Dwayne Scott Banton. Born February 23, 1965, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Henry and Brenda Martin. Christina was a member of Lynchburg Church of God of Prophecy and self employed residential care giver. In addition to her husband, Dwayne, Christina is survived by two sons, Adam Banton and his fiancée, Stephanie Stewart, and Joshua Scott Banton ,all of Concord. A celebration of Christina?s life and faith will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Gary Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 PM at the funeral home only.
