Obituary of Evelyn Caldwell

Evelyn Christine Franklin Caldwell, 82, of Rustburg, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the widow of the late Clarence Hunter Caldwell. Born April 8, 1929 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Owen and Iona Harper Franklin. She was a homemaker and member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Allen Wayne Caldwell and his wife, Teresa, of Rustburg; one daughter, Jo Ann Williamson and her husband, Gerald ,of Madison Heights, VA; one brother Alvan Franklin of Lynchburg and three sisters, Wilmoth Moore , Audrey Steele, both of Concord and Kathy Gunter and her husband , Wallace, of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Ryan Scott Caldwell of Rustburg, Karen Ferguson and her husband, Alan, of Madison Heights and Gerald ?Jerry? Williamson, Jr. of San Diego, CA; four great-grandchildren, Maya Williamson, Jake Williamson, Bailey Ferguson and Jordan Ferguson; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Cumbie of Saxe, VA and Juanita Franklin of Concord, VA. She was preceded in death by one brother Harold Franklin. A celebration of Evelyn?s life and faith will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Bethany United Methodist Church (Bethany Rd, Rustburg) with the Rev. Ron Litten and Rev. Samuel Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 PM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel and other times at the home of her son, Allen Caldwell , 5179 Bethany Rd., Rustburg.
