Obituary of Effie Wood

EFFIE VIRGINIA GROSS WOOD Effie G. Wood, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Medical Care Center. She was born in Bedford, VA. to the late Richard P. and Della Campbell Gross. Effie is survived by two daughters, Cecile Ferguson of Horseshoe Bend, ID and Patricia Wilkerson and her husband, Jim of Lynchburg. Five grandchildren, Leslie, Jason and Tim (Caitlin) Ferguson and Matthew (Stephanie) and Megan Wilkerson. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Medical Care Center with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
