Obituary of Jean Worley

Jean Smith Worley, 88, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital.Born in Lynchburg on August 21, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Cornelia Smith and was the widow of Odell P. Worley. Mrs. Worley was a member of Timberlake Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Worley Davis of Lynchburg and Sue Worley Smith of Portsmouth. Nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Cynthia Worley and a sister in law, Rebecca Pugh. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Odell Worley. The family would like to thank the staff of Lynchburg Health and Rehab center for the loving and gentle care given to Mrs. Worley also the family sends a very special thank you to Dr. Laura Robert. A Celebration of Jean?s Life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert E. Mooty officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 PM today, Sunday, at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, Timberlake Rd.
