Obituary of Billy Greene

Billy Franklin Greene, 70, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Carriage Hill Assisted Living Facility in Bedford, VA. He was the husband of the late Marian Isaacs Greene. Born April 27, 1941 in Boone, NC, he was a son of the late Willard M. and Ethel Price Greene. He was a retired foreman with VDOT and a member of Yellow Branch Baptist faith. He is survived by one brother, Jessie J. Greene and his wife, Alice, of Lynchburg and one sister, Anne G. Miles and her husband, Thomas, of Evington, VA; five nephews, one niece, 3 great-nieces and his special and dear friend, Pat Wiley. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Virginia Memorial Park with Rev.Tim Wilde officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 PM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Interment will be in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of Jessie and Alice Greene at all other times. Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Waterlick Chapel, 237-2722, is serving the family.
