Obituary of John Ballard

John ?Johnny? Henry Ballard, Jr. 61, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at UVa Hospital after an extended illness. He was the husband of Brenda A. Ballard. Born March 12, 1950 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late John Henry and Louise Ballard. He owned and operated Johnny?s Automotive for many years and was a member of Boonsboro United Methodist Church In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by two daughters, Brooke B. Patterson and her husband, Aaron, and Tracey Carole Ballard all of Lynchburg; two sisters, Linda B. Sanders and her husband, Purvis ?Fuzz? and Pamela Ballard, all of Lynchburg; numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald ?Ronnie? Ballard. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Miller officiating. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
