Obituary of James Hudson

James Hudson, age 65, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2011. Born on December 21, 1945 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Artie T. Hudson and Rosie Bixby Hudson. Surviving are a daughter, Glynda. Four brothers, Larry, William, Jerry and Artie Hudson (Terry). Five sisters, Clarice King (Burton), Julia Swain, Louise Nichols (Ray), Ruth Pierce (Sonny) and Barbara Collins, his special sister and caregiver. Three very special nieces, Rhonda Collins, Carolyn Pierce and Sarah Collins. A very special nephew, Steven Collins. The family would like to thank, Barbara Carter, his longtime personal aid, Gentive and Pro Careers for helping the family to keep him at home and Virginia Baptist Hospital Hospice. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene, Eldridge and Charles Hudson. One sister, Alice Eubanks and a very special brother-in-law, Ronnie Collins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel and other times at the residence, 1104 Cabell St. Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Big Island Cemetery.
