Obituary of Suzanne Blackwell

Suzanne Campbell Blackwell, 56, of Madison Heights, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Centra?s Hospice House after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband Bruce Blackwell. Born April 16, 1955 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late William Andrew Campbell. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Hopkins Campbell of Lynchburg. She was a 1973 graduate of E.C. Glass High School and Lynchburg College in 1977. Suzanne was a librarian with the Amherst County School System and a member of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband and mother, Suzanne is survived by one sister, Sharon Parente and her husband, Don, of Christiana, TN; two nephews, Michael and David Parente; brother and sister in-laws, Brian and Connie Blackwell and her beloved cat, Ozzie and two dogs, Dewey and Lucy. A celebration of Suzanne?s life and faith will be held Friday evening at 7:00 PM at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
