Obituary of Louise Harper

Louise Carwile Harper, 91, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Runk & Pratt. Born in Gladys on February 16, 1920 she was a daughter of the late James Franklin Carwile and Ethel Roakes Carwile . Mrs. Harper was the wife of the late Clarence Lee Harper for 52 years. She was a beautician for 42 years and a member of White?s United Methodist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth I. Carwile and his wife, Shirley of Gladys and Kyle T. Carwile, Sr. and his wife, Julia of Rustburg. Two sisters, Vera C. Bond of Lynchburg and Joyce C. West and her husband, John of Lynchburg. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Runk & Pratt, Leesville Rd., for the Loving and wonderful care given to Mrs. Harper. A Celebration of Louise?s Life and Faith will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011 at Whites United Methodist Church cemetery with the Rev. Paul F. Gillespie officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2011 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, Timberlake Rd., 237-2722.
