Obituary of Ida Cook

Ida Cook, 76, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday March 31 at Lynchburg General Hospital after a short illness. She was born December 28, 1935 in Ohio. Ida enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and scrap booking. She loved attending Holy Cross Gaels basketball, soccer, and softball games Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving Grandmother and Mother. She is survived by her son, David Cook and his wife Cathy, her loving granddaughter Jennifer Cook, and grandson Brian Cook. The family will receive friends today from 2-4 p.m. at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel 811, Wiggington Road, Lynchburg, VA, 24502. A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the Virginia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent to Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, 2125 Langhorne Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24501.
