Gregory Tibbs

Obituary of Gregory Tibbs

Gregory Todd Tibbs March 2, 1981-April 2, 2012 Gregory won many of his battles with the cancer cells that invaded his body, but he eventually lost the war. His courage in the face of this dreaded enemy will not soon be forgotten. His smile, humor and spirit will be missed by his parents, family and friends. Greg was a lifetime member of Timberlake United Methodist Church, the Jefferson Forest High School Class of 1999 and 2005 graduate of Radford University. He was employed by Nationwide Insurance. The Dallas Cowboys and the Virginia Tech Hokies have lost a devoted fan. The softball fields, fishing ponds and golf courses will miss his competitive spirit. Greg?s greatest joy in life came from being with his friends. If they miss him as much as he will miss them, they will be truly devastated. Greg was preceded into heaven by his Granny Smith, his Granny Tibbs and his Uncle Dennis. Left to cherish his memories are his parents Bill and Jenny, his Aunt Irene Sandridge and her children, Jason Howell, Kelly Robey, Ryan Howell and his Aunt Lorene Greer and her children, Shannon Bessent and Stephanie Greer. He loved his feline friend, Oscar, and his canine buddies Aikman and Cody. Please, no flowers. Please consider memorial gifts to Greg?s Relay for Life Team; Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) c/o Mr. Larry Riffee, 1103 Jefferson Way, Forest, VA 24551 A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Virginia Memorial Park with the Rev.
