Obituary of Lewis Baker

Lewis Wayne Baker, 63, of Evington, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Frances Baker. Born June 24, 1948 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Russell Lewis Baker and Mildred Drummond Baker. He was a personal care aide with Home Recovery and a charter member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Frances, he is survived by one son, Brian Wayne Baker of Evington; one brother, Ronald K. Baker and his wife, Gayle , of Lynchburg; one sister Kathy B. Kidd and her husband, Brian, of Forest and a very special nephew Carrington Baker. He is also survived by his little dog and special companion ?Ginger?. A celebration of Wayne?s life will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Leesville Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Brooks and Rev. David Heerspink officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night at the church from 7-8:30PM. Burial will be in Amherst Cemetery.
