Obituary of Hilda McCrickard

Hilda Unrue McCrickard, 81, of Rustburg passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Campbell County on August 6, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Claude D. Unrue and Natilie Reynolds Unrue and was the widow of Charlie Haywood McCrickard, Sr. Mrs. McCrickard was a retired bookkeeper with the McCrickard Electrical Co. and was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, C. Haywood McCrickard, Jr. (Kay) of Rustburg and their children, Brian McCrickard (Jennifer) and their children, Chandler and Emma, Troy McCrickard (Trista) and their daughter, Haven; Barry Keith McCrickard (Teresa) of Amherst and their daughter, Jessica; a daughter, Debra Moore of Rustburg and her children, Tracy Coates and her children, Brooke and Zachery, Tammy Viar (Ted) and their children, Tyler, Kelsey, and Charlie, and a sister-in-law, Mary Unrue of Rustburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Unrue and two sisters, Inez Harmon and Eva Bumgarner. A Celebration of Hilda?s Life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Rick Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday, August 27, 2012 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Haywood and Kay McCrickard, 963 Gough Rd., Rustburg. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 1022 Commerce St., Lynchburg, Va. 24504.
