Obituary of Ellen Mong

Ellen Moseley Mong, 68, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital after an extended illness. She was the loving wife of Thomas Arthur Mong for 46 years. Born July 17, 1944, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Willis ?Bill? Moseley and Helen Saunders Moseley. She was graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended Mitchell College in North Carolina. She was a life long member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by one daughter, Paula Mong Troyer of Lynchburg; one son Michael Thomas Mong and his wife, Cynthia, of Forest; three grandchildren, Jaquiline Nicole Troyer, Jacob Christian Mong and Michael Grey Mong. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Willis ?Chuck? Moseley. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Monsignor Kenneth Rush officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. A wake and prayer service will be held today from 7-9 P.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church ?Steeple Fund, 710 Clay Street, Lynchburg, VA 24505. Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Waterlick Chapel, 237-2722, is serving the family.
