Obituary of Margaret Saunders

Margaret Mary Saunders , 86, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Runk & Pratt Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Saunders, a WWII Veteran. She resided in Ocala, FL for 20 years before moving to Lynchburg. Born May 18, 1926, in Boston, MA. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Manning. She was a retired public Librarian. She is survived by four sons, James Saunders and his wife, Katherine, of Lynchburg, VA; Greg Saunders and his wife, Melissa, of West Melbourne, FL, David Saunders of Madison , WI and Stephen Saunders and his wife, Robin, of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Robert Manning of Camillus, NY; one sister Katherine Aicardi of Norvell, MA; seven grandchildren, Lynne, Mark, Jennifer, Lindsay, Alison, Katie and Shaun and six great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Saunders of Ocala, FL. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Saunders. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Church in Ocala, FL. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Wiggington Road Chapel,434- 385-8900, is serving the family.
