Obituary of Katie Ragland Webber

Katie Ragland Webber, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, September 8,2013 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Webber. Born May 2, 1930 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Walter R. Ragland and Mary Feagans Ragland. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Katie loved to read, and support the Atlanta Braves . She also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. She is survived by one son, Michael W. Doss and his wife, Judy, of Orland , CA; one brother Ronald W. Ragland and his wife, Esther, of Crozier, VA; three sisters, Dorothy L. King of Sandston, VA, Shirley Ragland and Alice Louis, both of New Kent, VA; twelve grandchildren 13 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Doris Jean Wood and Nancy Kay Hall. The family wishes to thank her granddaughter, Jennifer Hall for the wonderful and loving care given to her grandmother during her illness. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
