Obituary of Robert Dale McNeish

Bob fell asleep in death on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. He was a member of the West Lynchburg, VA Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Bob was born to Everett & Mae McNeish of Grove City, PA on November 1, 1935. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 yrs., Millie McBride. Also preceding him in death, a son, Robert P. McNeish. He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Painter of Lynchburg, VA. Another daughter, Connie Madrid and husband Bryan of Rural Hall, NC. Also surviving him, a son, Kenneth McNeish of Gladstone, VA. Also surviving him are a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His principle caregiver, Bonnie Painter, assisted by Connie Madrid are grateful for the excellent care provided by Centra Hospice of Lynchburg. A faithful husband and devoted father, Bob led a full and rich life. He was an accomplished pilot, precision machinist, inventor, skier, trumpeter, world traveler, and avid joke teller. While deriving joy from these things, his greatest joy was his service to his God, Jehovah. His joy especially came from sharing Bible truths with others in his full-time ministry. Bob was a decade's long excellent student of the Bible. He used that knowledge to bring comfort to others. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held for him at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses -319 Wiggington Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24502. 2:00pm Saturday, December 2, 2017.
