PHYLLIS MONGER WOHR Phyllis Monger Wohr of Lynchburg died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at her residence. Born in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Jett I. Monger and Winifred Tuggle Monger and was the widow of Clarence Brown (Buddy) Wohr. Mrs. Wohr was a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church and the Elks Lodge # 321. She is survived by three nieces, Julian Grey Preble of Lynchburg, Jett Preble Wade and her husband, L.P. of Lynchburg and Caroline Smith Pierson and her husband, Steve of Cambridge, OH, One nephew, Nick Smith and his wife, Carla of Cambridge, OH and all of their families. A brother in law, Dr. Clifton Smith of Cambridge, Oh. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Monger Preble and her husband, Julian C. and Rachel Monger Smith. A funeral service will be conducted 10:30 AM Friday, October 5, 2007 at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with the Rev. C. Lloyd Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
