Obituary of Grace Sims Crews

Grace Kathleen Sims Crews, devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend left this earth Wednesday, November 14, 2007. She was the wife of the late William E. Crews. Grace was an avid reader who always had a country song playing in the kitchen, She had the most fun shopping for the "perfect" pair of shoes. Each holiday brought her more joy than the last, as her family gathered together once more. Born in Lynchburg, December 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Bessie and Harry Sims. Grace retired from C.B. Fleet in 1990; she was a life long member of Amalon United Methodist Church. She cultivated many close relationships at both work and church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, and by two daughters and sons-in-law; Michael E. Crews, wife Elinda of Gauthier, MS, Cheryl A. Kozma, husband Robert, of Forest, Susan K. Moore, of Cincinnati, OH, Jeffrey A. Crews, wife Betsy, of Forest. Eight grandchildren and spouses: W. Bradford Ferguson, wife Rachel of Forest, Daniel S. Ferguson , wife Kasey of Lynchburg, Michael S. Crews of Atlanta, GA, Lauren M. Moore of Columbus, OH, Christa B. Cavender of Lynchburg, Whitney M. Moore of Cincinnati, Taylor E. Crews of Forest, and four great grandchildren: Kayden, Daniel, David, Kolby, and best friend Adele Crews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Kenneth H. Moore. Friends and family may visit at the home of her son Jeff Crews, 1118 Lake Meadow Lane, Forest, VA 24551. Visitation will be held at Diuguid's Wiggington Rd. location from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2007. The Funeral will be held at Amalon United Methodist Church in Madison Heights at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Blue Ridge Food Bank, P.O.
