Obituary of Mabel Doss

Mabel Dodgion Doss, 92, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Lynchburg Genral Hospital. She was the widow of the late David Clay Doss. Born March 12, 1916 in Madison Heights, she was a daughter of the late William Aaron and Myrtle Evelyn Dodgion. She was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church and was a retired secretary from Virginia Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Doss is survive by one daughter, Patricia Dossorcom and her husband James of Monroe; two sons, Michael R. Doss and his wife Doris of Orlando. FL and Davis L. Doss and his wife Debbie of Concord; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Janet Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends tonight at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel from 7-8:30 PM. Diuguid Funeral Service-Waterlick Chapel (434-237-2722) is serving the family.
