Obituary of Shirley Tolley Breeden

Shirley Ann Tolley Breeden, 71, of Lynchburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2008 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born August 13, 1936 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Wheeler and Lizzie Tolley. She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church where she was deeply devoted to her church family. Shirley was an avid gardener and just a casual stroll through her yard will brighten your day. She was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare large delicious meals for her family and many friends. Shirley was a generous and loving person and loved doing for others. She was a devout Christian and servant of the Lord. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Lyle Breeden; four daughters, Vickie B. Falwell (Rick), Sandi B. Martin (Jerry), Gayle B. Vinoskey (David) and Christina B. Fleenor (Jeff); one brother, Ray Tolley (Sandra) and one sister Myrtle T. Croy (Harry) ; five grandchildren, Douglas Chappell, Allyson Carter, Cassady Martin , Luke Martin and Nicholas Vinoskey; one great-grandchild, Kayli Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Hills for their love and wonderful care given to Shirley during her illness. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with Lay Pastor, Kathy Nicholls officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Big Island.
