Obituary of Gary Hogan

Herman Gary Hogan (Gary) went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 22, 2023 surrounded by his family.  Gary was born on October 8, 1953, the son of the late Elizabeth G. Hogan & the late Herman L. Hogan.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne T. Hogan; his children Brayden Gary Hogan (Allison) & future grandson Rhett (due in October) of Lynchburg and Grace Marybeth Hogan of Roanoke; his brother, Wayne Hogan (Teresa) of Lynchburg; his brother-in-law Bud Thomas (Donna) of Solon, Ohio; his sister-in-law Sherry Sharrow (Joe) of Fredericksburg, nephews Dustin Hogan (Brittney), Drew Hogan (Erika), Christopher & Daniel Thomas, John Hefley & Adam Sharrow (Sarah); great nephews Carter, Tanner, & Jackson Hogan & great niece Jaden Hogan.

Gary was a die hard Brookville Bee & UVA fan & loved sports and cars of any kind!  He loved his family & was a devoted friend to many.  He was loved, left us way too soon & will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be at Diuguid Funeral Home, Timberlake Chapel on Thursday, August 3rd from 6 to 8 pm & a graveside service will be at Fort Hill Memorial Park at 11 am on Friday, August 4th.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenview Church of God, 1227 Greenview Dr, Lynchburg, VA 24502 or the charity of your choice.
